Sex after hysterectomy

I had a robotic assisted total hysterectomy due to having PCOS, Adenomyosis, and fibroids 11/20/20. No complications. Before surgery my Dr told me it would be so long before we could have sex after surgery. What were you told for a waiting period after surgery before you could have sex again? She told me so many weeks but I obviously read about it online and everyone I’ve talked to have said their dr said something different lol my boyfriend was fine with it when we talked about it but I think he’s changed his mind realizing that it’s ALOT longer than we have ever gone without having sex and I think he’s ready to lose his mind. Everything I read online or anyone I’ve talked to have told me they only had to wait about 4-6 weeks after surgery. I was told NOTHING in the vagina for 12 weeks!😳 there’s only so much we can do with that and we’ve been whatever we can to play without sex lol but we’re both having a hard time with this. We normally have sex at least once a day if we’re super busy every other day. It’s only been 5 weeks. Help! I told him I’m waiting the full 12 weeks because I don’t want to mess anything up. I had it done to get rid of all the pain caused from the adenomyosis so I don’t went to mess anything up inside still healing and end up with permanent pain because we just couldn’t wait. Help!
