Spare time when having a baby?

My baby is 3 weeks old and for the last days she is so fussy, only sleeps on my stomach when I put her down after 10-20 min starts crying. I use a dummy lately so I keep her occupied when she's awake cause otherwise she's crying so bad. When I'm alone with her I literally can't do anything apart conforting or having her sleeping on my chest. Is this normal? What else can I do?

3 weeks is a growth spurt period. Baby wear to get things done around the house

Yes that’s normal, newborns need a lot from you and at that age they really just sleep, eat, poop, repeat with spurts of 30-60 minutes of awake time.  My baby liked his swing so I could sometimes put him in that for 20 mins but other than that I had to carry him almost 24/7. Baby carriers were a life saver so I could still use both hands. It’s gets better, my baby independently plays quite a bit at 9 months old. Look up the 4th trimester, it’s real. I just soaked up all those newborn cuddles because it goes so fast. The dishes and cleaning can wait, don’t stress about that stuff :) also if she’s crying and sounding like maybe gassy you can try a little bit of gripe water or gas drops

It's normal. For me it seemed like week 3 was when LO became more aware and was PISSED about being out of the womb haha. Baby wearing helped a ton.
