We decided to move in together after a year and I met his mom, she visited every. single. weekend. when she never visited him before, we were living in a studio apartment that barely fit us and she brought the biggest air mattress ever and criticized everything we had and tried to teach me how to be a “woman” and how to take care of her son, when she wasn’t even the one who raised him or his siblings. He puts his foot down and tells her to stop coming by and she starts calling and texting me constantly because she wants to get ahold of him when she can just text and call him, then proceeds to talk sh*t about everyone, then starts talking sh*t about me to one of my family members that she didn’t know was my family member, now whenever I see her, she completely ignores me and doesn’t acknowledge my presence. Lol. There’s more, but that’s a whole other story bro. 🥴

When we first started dating he'd come home late like at 2am bc he'd work till 11pm and come see me for a little while and if he wasn't back by 11.30pm they'd lock him out. Mind you he was 19yrs old and basically all of his paycheck went to his family's bills. So when we started dating his money slowly started to drift my way for dates and small gifts,  nothing major. He saved up money to buy himself a better  car,  I went to introduce myself with him to his moms after 3 months of dating, even got her a gift. For crazy reasons we decided to move in together at 7 months of dating,  he had been wanting to move out anyway according to him. He didn't tell them he was moving he just slowly took his stuff out and would sleep there once in a while. Well according to them i stole him. His dad didnt talk to him or me for a yr and his oldest brother for almost 3yrs. ( He's the 2nd oldest theres 4boys total) i never got in his way of him and his family he'd go visit every Sunday,  eventually i started going too. Well fast forward almost 9 yrs and 2 kid's later his dads the only one who gets mad bc my husband has the audacity to prioritize his hard earned money for his" other family " ( Me and the kids) according to his father. Who already leaches money from his other sons and wife bc he doesn't work.

My SOs mother and sister hate me. Like LOATHE me. I “stole” him from his family. Once we got together he put his foot down and stopped being their door mat. He also won’t let them say anything bad about me. Which makes me “controlling”. 🤣🤣🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve met my SOs brother in person once when we visited them for a few days and we all got along great, the brothers girlfriend was honestly amazing and I felt like we’d be super good friends if we lived closer. His dad has passed away and his mom is out of the picture so his only other family are 2 women that have been like moms to him and I feel like we get along well, we keep in touch through text and visit when we can and there’s no issues.

My in law drama is my mother in law constantly bashing my sister in law to me. She's been living with my mother in law for several years on and off. She has 3 kids and just got divorced last month, but has been putting her kids to bed at 6 pm so she can leave and live the single life. My mother in law often has to watch her kids because she's just not a very active mother. Any time I mention doing anything with my kids she always goes "[sister-in-laws name] never does that with her kids". So then I'm just sitting there awkwardly like 😬

I don’t like my SO’s mom though as far as I know she still likes me 😂 she’s best friends with his ex which I wouldn’t care if they broke up like amicably but she cheated on him multiple times and took most of his money/belongings when he finally got rid of her. It’s just disrespectful to me and our relationship to keep her around in my opinion. She also told the ex all about us buying a house before anything was official and the ex then told our landlord (who we had issues with hence the house buying) and we didn’t have a lease so we were very lucky everything went through alright and he didn’t kick us out. His mom keeps asking to come see our house but I’ve told him I don’t want her here if she wants to disrespect us like that 🤷🏻‍♀️ she just needs to have drama/gossip in her life and so does the ex
