FWB with your Ex???

I need help y’all! Get ready for this messy story time!!

My ex and I dated for almost 2 years before we broke up. I was the one who initiated the break up because he is a TERRIBLE communicator. We live 10 mins away from each other and this man (25 yrs old) wouldn’t text/call me for DAYS. But I know his ass is texting & calling his boys when to get on PS4 because thats ALL HE DOES. I didn’t feel special or appreciated. Especially after I’ve told him, multiple times, that I need more from him.

He finally agreed to breaking up. We really did love each other. I know he cares about me. His excuse is that he’s a “bad texter”. But how long can I put up with that for?

Well a month or so pass by and I hook up with someone new from work a few times. He’s hot & gives me a lot of attention, but I think he’s a lil shady and is lowkey a fuckboy. Things are slowly dying between us and I honestly couldn’t care less.

Now my ex has been texting me throughout the holiday season, Thanksgiving, my birthday passed by...Christmas.

Just last night he starts a convo over text and this time I let the texts go a little bit longer. We’re joking around, asking about life and THEN he asks me the question:

‘Do you want to be Fuck buddies?’

I pretty much shut him down, telling him that it’s not a good idea. He said “maybe that time away is what we needed”. Then he respectfully understood and the convo ended there.

Has anyone ever experienced this?? Would you ever be FWB with an ex? Pros & cons? I mean, sex with him is FIRE and I think about it often. Once I almost moaned my ex’s name while I was with my work FWB
