Breast Tumor (Fibroedema)
So for the past few months my left breast has been tender or in extreme pain. I’ve had some clear nipple discharge and red splotches on the skin on my breast. I did a self exam at home and found a lump. I went in to see my OB and after the breast exam my doctor told me it was most likely a clump of cysts but had me get an ultrasound to be sure. The radiologist told me it SEEMED like a Fibroedema...aka a breast tumor. But they couldn’t confirm that only my OB could once looking at my scans.
I researched Fibroedema and it’s supposed to be painless. Mine is far from painless. There also shouldn’t be nipple discharge with Fibroedemas. The pain has now spread from my breast to my armpit and upper back.
I’m still waiting on a call from my Dr. Is there anyone who has been diagnosed with a fibroedema? Did you have pain or nipple discharge? Should I be worried?
