What time is bed time for newborn

I have A 4 wk old... when should bedtime be or when do u put your baby to bed?

I’ve never heard of a 4 week old having a bedtime. They sleep constantly so I would find it hard to have them on a sleep schedule. 4-6 months is when I personally would worry about sleep schedule/bedtime.

They sleep when they want sleep training doesn’t work this early. Now 5-6 months sure trying isn’t bad.

I have always been told never to try any form of sleep training until 4 months at the earliest...and even at this point it is very gentle sleep training.. at four weeks she will sleep and eat based on her needs. Adjust to her schedule..shes a newborn still

In order to differentiate night and day, you should do 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. It doesn’t really matter when the “bed time” or night time starts, so you can do what works for you. I think we did 9-9 to start? So at 9 we put him down and until 9am, each time he woke up we kept the lights off (salt rock night light) and didn’t talk to him/make a bunch of noise for feedings. Change, feed, and put right back down. Then 9am-9pm every time he was awake it was bright and noisy. This helps them figure out day and night and eventually they will start sleeping longer at night.

My last baby was in the nicu for three weeks and they had her one a every three hour schedule. When she got home she was going to bed at 11pm and sleeping 3-4 hr stretches.

At that age we basically just moved her bassinet. We live in a little house where our bedroom is only like 6 feet away from our living room. We would roll her bassinet out to the living room during the day then at about 9 o'clock we would roll her bassinet to our bedroom and shut the door a bit
