Did I overreact?

My older sister and I have always been hot and cold with our relationship. Recently I built a 1 story 4 bedroom home and moved in, and she moved into a nice apartment.

We had dinner with our Dad and she has always been more of the favorite. We’re both talking about our new places and how we’re excited to decorate, etc. My Dad then starts going on about how great her apartment is, how smart she is to rent with how the world is, how great her apartment is for having a fireplace (my house doesnt). He then goes on about how my house should’ve had one, how my backyard lake is “man made and small and not even a lake” and how houses built now are “built so badly no one should ever have a house built these days”. Basically just keeps bashing me and praising her and she’s eating it up “oh you’re so right! I’m waiting to buy a house until things calm down”, and “I would never buy a brand new home, one that’s older and settled and has character.”

I basically just got so annoyed I just got up and left and they both seem to have no idea why I ruined dinner. Did I overrreact?
