Took baby for ever to wave, like 3 solid months of doing it every day. 😒 He’s doing it now at 13 mos
He clapped pretty early- like 7 or 8 months

My son is 13 months. He claps sometimes. He half ass waves but doesn’t care to. It’s not super out of the ordinary. But if concerned I would discuss with your pediatrician

My 10 month old started to clap at 8 months but I’m sure he learned bc my 2 year old taught him lol

How incredible that my son has literally just clapped for the first time and I come and read this? He was exactly 10 months old yesterday... all children develop at different rates. He is child number 6 and as far as clapping goes he is the one who has done it latest. 
He only waves bye bye to his big brother, literally will not do it for anyone else.

My girl clapped first at 7 months and waved not long after that. It was in a little book that we looked at most days and she just picked it up 😊 But babies are all different just like adults. There will be some things she hasn't done yet.
