Drinking out it plastic water bottles while pregnant

Is it safe to drink out of plastic water bottles while pregnant? I usually don’t drink out of water bottles, but as odd as it sounds, I can handle the taste of them a lot better than my brita. I was drinking out of one at work and 2 of my coworkers came at me saying it’s dangerous and going on google to pull up articles. I don’t understand how it’s different from drinking out of my brita? The brita is plastic..

So sick of the mom shaming already and my baby isn’t even here yet 🤦🏼‍♀️
