Boric acid suppositories while pregnant

I just found out I’m pregnant and have been using boric acid for BV on and off almost this whole time, about 3 weeks. I’m going to consult my doctor but has anyone else used boric acid during pregnancy and been ok? I just want to know because it seems like even doctors have a lot of differing opinions on the safety of this stuff. And antibiotics don’t work at all for my BV, boric acid is the only thing that works unfortunately.
