Heavy period after laparoscopic & hysteroscopy
6 weeks ago I had laparoscopic surgery to remove endometriosis (stage 1) and a small polyp in my uterus via hysteroscopy. My period was right in time after the surgery but seemed heavier than usual (periods are already heavy but only last 3-4 days). I contributed the heavy bleeding & large clots to the surgery thinking my bod had to regulate. I just had my second period since surgery and it was even worse. Clotting, heavy bleeding and horrible cramps. Has anyone experienced this?
On top of it my doctor prescribed birth control because he said the hormones are recommended to prevent endo from coming back. However, I want to attempt pregnancy as I was unsuccessful before surgery. I took the birth control for 3 days got depressed and have decided not to take BC. I already feel emotionally better today without the pill & I am going to let nature take it course and hope for a successful pregnancy. In the meantime, I guess I hope the endo doesn’t come back. Has anyone gone through this or have experience?
