Ovulation test?

I am on CD 28 today, I usually get my period anywhere from CD 28-CD 30. However, for atleast a week, I have been getting positive ovulation test. My cheap amazon pregnancy test are negative, but it’s just odd. Yes, I know once you get your surge you’re not suppose to test anymore, but I have used ovulation test for 3 years and have never had this happened. Can ovulation test pickup HCG, before a pregnancy test can? Today I’m having weird burning sensations that’s achy feeling from my lower back,going down to my ovary area, and running to the top of my thigh. It doesn’t hurt, but just feels weird. 🤪🤦🏼‍♀️
