Cramping??

I’m 37+4 and I’ve been having lower abdomen cramping ALL day. They are starting to get worse tonight, its a constant pain & my belly has stayed rock hard most of the day/night. 
they hurt so bad now 😭 
Any ideas on what to do?   
Shower hasn’t been helping!

Could be Braxton Hicks? From what my doctor told me if I start feeling labor pains early drink water and rest and see if that helps but you’re already 37 weeks so it could be labor. If it continues and gets worse go to the emergency room to get checked out. ￼

I wonder if you’re in prelabor. I experienced intense period like cramps around my due date and I was supposed to be induced as I was over due but turned out I had already dilated to 3 cm on my own so I ended up not needing an induction after all. Contractions definitely have a different sensation. It’s not a constant pain. They come and go and they start out mild and reach peak intensity and then taper off & so repeat and the closer you are to true labor, the closer the contractions will be. So if you’re not experiencing Braxton hicks or true contractions and it’s just constant period like cramps, I believe you may be dilating. In that case, there’s no need to panic - but I would strongly suggest calling your doctor and getting his/her professional opinion! Good luck ♥️
