Anyone have experience with progesterone shots?

I have to get these due to my insufficient cervix. Anyone use these with or without getting a cerclage (stitched up cervix) as well and have a successful pregnancy?

I've been on the progesterone pill that I have to insert into my vagina, and I've been in bed rest since 26 weeks.. Because of a shortened cervix, and now I'm 30 weeks, and my cervix is getting a little thicker!

I get the progesterone shots every week since i was 20 weeks im currently 33 weeks, i get it because i had a premature baby and he was my first child, i took it with my second and now taking it with my third. Never had a problem with it, no side effects or nothing, it works for me. I had my second full term and im getting closer with this one. Good luck!!!

Hey there! I'm 23 weeks and 6 days and have had a cerclage since 12 weeks and take the progesterone injections weekly. My husband and I do them ourselves and they've been a breeze! No side effects or problems at all. So far my cervix has stayed long and strong and no signs of preterm labor. I see my MFM every two weeks and my regular OB every week that I'm not at the MFM office. So far I haven't needed any bed rest either. So I'm no where near full term yet but I think both of these preventative measures are going to help me get there.
