When labor started, did your water break first and then contractions started or did you have contractions first and then your water broke later?

Past my due date with my first baby and I'm impatiently waiting for this little baby to decide to arrive. Curious as to which came first for everyone.

One of each. My first my water broke first. Or rather I was having contractions but they just felt like Braxton Hicks which I had the whole pregnancy. My second my water didn’t break till I requested it at 9cm dilated and had been in active labor for hours.

Water never broke naturally, they burst it at thé hospital about 30’ before my daughter was born.

My water broke first, although it was more of a slow leak but once that started I got mild contractions that slowly got stronger and stronger. I was due Dec 23, my water broke the night of Dec 21 and he came out the next morning Dec 22.
