Does your toddler talk to themselves a lot?

My daughter will just look off into space and ramble on. Like she will lay in my arms and look up at the ceiling and babble away.  She does make eye contact other times so I’m not concerned I just wonder if anyone else’s toddler does the same.

My son does it when he’s by himself normally. Like when he’s trying to fall asleep or he he wakes up.

Oh gosh yes. My kiddo never shuts up, lol. He talks to us, talks to himself, talks to his toys... he sings to himself, too, which is adorable.

Lol yes my girl does this. I catch her looking up and having a conversation about funny stuff and I caught her offering her snacks! It goes on for a while.   It's gotta be her only uncle Bill that passed less than a year ago. She also has pretend conversations with her stuffed animals and toys, sometimes talking to them or recently she has them talk to each other. I love to listen to her!

My daughter does it too. I swear she is talking to my grandma though because she gets super focused like she is talking to someone but no one is there and I have told my hubby since moving I have felt her here on and off so who knows. I wouldn’t worry about it she is probably practicing sounds or using her imagination.
