Is water safe to drink?

My family is moving to a home where the main water line to the house is connected to the water line for the outdoor sprinkler system (blue line). Is this odd, or pretty normal? I figured the sprinkler system should be its own line but I also am not a pro on this topic. Would love any insight!

The main line is supplying water to the sprinkler system, not the other way around 🙃 You can send your water out to get tested, or get a house filter for peace of mind- but water going to multiple places from one line doesn’t change the quality of the water.

I don't see why not 
But if you are worried, you can get a water filtration system installed for the entire house. Its not cheap, but everything from all the faucets to the fridge to the shower will have filtered water 
Or a cheaper version is to install a filtration system that connects under the sink before it comes out of the faucet
Fridges also have their own filters you should replaces annually or by annually depending on how much you use it

Yes. You could get little filter for it if anything. They have water bottles that will filter it if you don't want to buy/bring a pitcher deal.
