need advice please help

i’ve been dating my bf for a year

and he’s never met my family because we live in a different state and i’ve never met his because of coronavirus. but my bestfriend is getting married later this year, also in another state and he’s never met her either. i am going to be her made of honor and she gave me a plus one but i brought it up to my bf and he says he’s not sure he’s gonna want to come. he said he’s never traveled without his family. we are 24 and he lives with his parents and i live with roommates. i told him it makes me really sad that he doesn’t want to come and he said i shouldn’t be. am i moving to quickly? am i asking for too much?
