Flying at 30 weeks?

Question

We plan on taking an hour flight to see some family. I sent a message to my nurse and she responded safe until 34 weeks. Has anyone flown this late and had TSA question you? Also am I allowed to go through scanners? I haven’t flown pregnant.

Yes you can do everything as normal, I flew at 30 weeks and had no issues, no questions asked either

I flew from the US to Canada at 28 then back at 29 weeks with my first.  No issues.

Yes, I’ll be 28 weeks when we fly. You can ask to go through the metal detector instead of the body scanner but I believe both are safe. You could also ask for a private pat down, it takes much longer and would be done by a female (this was always an option but I’m not sure if there’s anything updated due to COVID). Make sure you’re drinking tons of water on the plane, bring a lot of snacks since most don’t offer them right now and be sure to stretch your legs every now and then.
