So my son's a little pussy

My son used to have really bad temper tantrums and throw stuff. I have spent the past few years teaching him to tell me how he feels and talk about it. I was watching a movie with my boyfriend and my son who is 8 came in and said he was sad. I asked why and he told me. It wasn't really that big of a deal but to him it was so I asked why it made him sad. He said why. He cried a little and felt better after talking and went on his way. My boyfriend told me I'm raising my son to be a little pussy. I told him he can fuck off. That offended me so much! He thinks I should have told him he was being stupid and suck it up. I kicked him out for the night. Maybe that was too much but seriously fuck him!
