FTM question

So I got this baby bath as a gift from my bestfriend and I think it's adorable and I'd really like to use it but it wasn't really the baby bath I wanted for her. I'm just concerned that it's not an actual bath and that maybe the baby will get cold. Do any of you mommies have this or something similar? What's your thoughts on these types of baby baths for newborns. It says I can use it for a newborn but it seems sketchy.
