Is anyone trying out Baby Led Weaning?

How is that going?? Were you able to start right at 6 months?

My son is 14 months and still drinks breast milk and formula out of a bottle during the day and night on top of the food he eats. He drinks whole cows milk too. If i were exclusively breast feeding I would have done it until he was 2 so I plan on taking the baba away around 2. Everyone likes to do something diff though so do what works for you of course. My son loves food and the baba hasn’t effected his appetite or eating skills it’s just added nutrition imo

We did a mixture. Would have been exclusively BLW but we had some issues. We had no problems between the two. My daughter is a great eater

I used BLW with both my kids and it was a wonderful experience. They responded well, ate a large variety of real foods, and it was so easy to do - very little “prep” involved.

My son is almost 5 months. Doc told us to just give some veggiee to try out if he likes eating, so that we could give him meat at 6 months.
So far we plan on giving him something occasionally. Today I gave him avocado in feeding net. He was not happy... Next week we will try carrots, maybe it is sweeter. 😃
