Fresh or Frozen Transfer??

Question

Hello ladies! I just came back from our genetic educator who was explaining about the genetic testing. 
I asked her about fresh or frozen and she mentioned that frozen has a higher possibility of implanting, but there is no right or wrong answer. 
I’m now a bit confused should I do a fresh transfer or wait a month or two and do a frozen one.  :(  
I guess it all depends on how many eggs and embryos I end up having 🙏🏻 but now I’m sooooooo confused.

You dont have to exclusively only do one or the other. 
You can do a fresh transfer and test and freeze the rest.

I think its really up to you.  My doctor only does frozen because all the meds make your uterus and ovaries "angry".  Lol.  So it allows everything to calm down and have a higher success rate.

It’s a total personal preference. We did not do PGS testing. I handled stims extremely well. I also really prepared my body though for IVF. We strictly did IVF because of male factor. Right after retrieval I made sure to stay hydrated, extreme high (200g) protein diet the day of to avoid OHSS. I started that right after retrieval. I told myself if I wasn’t feeling well then we would do a frozen but I honestly felt just fine. We did a 5 day fresh transfer. Which was successful. I know frozen has a higher success rate. I would just listen to your body and what your doctor recommends 💕 Best of luck!!

Decided on fet to do the testing. We went back and forth on it too, mostly because honestly I just didn’t want to wait to transfer for testing at first. We don’t start our first retrieval cycle until mid feb but we ultimately decided to do it since we want more kids anyway and I’m a little anxious about it all already. There are so many pros and cons, gotta just pick what u think is best for you personally

It’s really a personal choice. I did frozen because my strict statistics at my clinic they have greater success with FET. I also liked the idea that my body could rest/reset before the transfer which you don’t haven’t with a fresh transfer.

Hi! So it’s gonna be different for everyone and different clinics might have different recommendations. In my case we had MFI, I was 29 at the time of egg retrieval with a high AMH (not PCOS) and we did a fresh transfer that resulted in our daughter. I did develop mild OHSS though (I think they retrieved 24 eggs) but nothing too bad. Our RE didn’t even mention frozen transfer, unless the fresh didn’t work he said then we will do that. So in our case fresh transfer worked out but in some cases frozen is better. If you have PCOS then you’re more at risk for OHSS, or if you want to Test the embryos then frozen is the way to go. Also some people like that with frozen you give your body a chance to recover before transfer. In my case though, I’m so impatient I wanted to transfer ASAP lol
