Tips to make a newborn sleep?

My 1 month baby doesn’t sleep. He only sleeps 5-6 hours a day. I try everything. White noise, cuddling, rocking. He just doesn’t sleep. He’s very fussy and has a lot of reflux. I noticed he only sleeps in a sling but I can’t have a sling on all night

5-6 hours a day total? That's definitely not normal and beyond the usual infant sleep struggles. Have you talked with your pediatrician about it?

Its probably his reflux cause you said he likes the sling - so when he is more upright. See if there's anything you can do to help him be safely more upright when he is napping - they have a wedge to put under your baby matress or im sure there's other high tech stuff. Also talk to your dr about the reflux and lack of sleep to see if there's anything else you can do
