Would they be invited still?

If you got kicked out of your parents house, after years of mental abuse, would you invite your parents to your wedding? Why or why not? My parents abused me mentally for a long time. I got kicked out for not sitting down during a “quick meeting” because I was being “horrible”, “abusive”, and “rude”. Would you still invite them to the wedding or not?

I come from mentally abusive parents as well and no I absolutely would not allow them at my wedding. They treated me terribly so they don’t deserve the right to see me get married 🤷🏻‍♀️

My dad hit me, and mentally abused me. My mother emotionally abused me.
I still am inviting them, as long as they respect my boundaries. If they dont i will have a bouncer have them leave.

No. I would cut all contact. I know what toxic parents are like. I've been there. 
Do what you want to do and never look back. They didnt respect you.

I think it depends whether you’ve ever actually addressed this with them? 
Like if you’ve told them how it affected you, they’ve apologised and regret what they did to you, and are they are trying to fix the relationship between you, then maybe. 
But ultimately you have to think about what will cause you the least stress on the day. Them being there, or not.

I understand how parents can say mean things out of frustration but not to the extent where it damages you like the way they did. 
No child should ever be kicked out their parents house. I don’t understand this? 
It depends on your relationship with them as of now. But I don’t know your entire situation.

Id never talk to them again. They wouldn’t be part of my life. Ive cut my mum off before as she was becoming abusive.
