A little back story... I had a rough childhood, my mom was super overbearing and abusive and controlling. I never had friends and have been depressed my entire life. I always dreamed of one day being able to get out and be on my own away from that. Once I got older I was never able to get a job because of my anxiety and other reasons so I never thought I would get the money to get a place of my own. Then my boyfriend and I met in 2017. He was from Maui and I lived on the Big Island. I went there multiple times throughout 2018 to see him and in 2019 we decided to live together. We lived there with his mom for a few months and that DID NOT work out. So we came back to the Big Island to live with my parents. We searched everywhere for a place; rentals, apartments, buying, building a tiny home applying for a home loan even and we never found anything to suit what we needed or that we had the money for. We never had much luck with places we looked for and we were giving up on our dream of a place of our own, then on 1-22-21 we met with a property manager about a place for rent. 2b/1b 950sq ft place that was newly remodeled and beautiful and in the perfect location. It’s fully furnished and comes with all utilities and its in our budget. We jumped at the chance and applied right away for it. Then today, 1-28-21 we got the call that we were approved and we signed the lease tonight. Our dreams finally came true!!! 🥲😍
