Just want to point out that the partner literally blows off anything with me even a simple conversation with me. When he's home (truck driver) he's literally glued to either his ps4 or phone. Im home all the time with our 9 month old to be. I just want some conversation let alone affection. I go all day with my only conversation being with a 9 month old then when he does get home prepare and cook dinner all while he relaxes? Are all partners like this?! Am I being high demand? I.JUST.WANT.SOME.ATTENTION.💔😞

Both my partner and I understand being exhausted when coming home from work and just wanting to turn off your brain with a phone, Netflix, etc. I get it. But you do still have to nurture your relationship with each other and your children. Needing a little quiet time after work is fine, but there’s nothing wrong with also trying to set aside some time (kids’ bedtime? Weekends?) to talk to each other, spend time with your kids, etc. It’s definitely worth a conversation with your husband

So communication seems to be the best option but in my experience I just kind of had to put my best foot forward and instead of asking for reassurance and for his approval.. I started making the plans. We are grown adults but I wanted to do this anyways.. (he's in truck driving school rn so he's about to be gone more often) I told him I made a date jar and when he comes home, we're picking at least one thing to do. Some costs money some don't, some are more intimate and some are more spontaneous I mean I even took notes from when he would randomly be like "one day we should do this..." I add it to the jar without hesitation. His idea for when he would come home was to have a get together with his parents and siblings and cousins each time... I told him that's fine but if you're only going to be home for 3 days out of the month or less we WILL be spending time one on one.. So maybe try something similar to that????
