How much should I get pumping?

My boy was born Monday, my milk started coming in around Wednesday night/Thursday. I have a manual pump, I know it's not as good as an electric but I haven't gotten one yet. I have pumped twice off the same breast today, my son has a hard time latching to it (I think due to size), but have only gotten 10ml total and pumped for 15-20 minutes each time. His weight hasn't went up like it should so we go back to the pediatrician Monday to be weighed again and go from there. We supplement once a day at night(dads feeding). But is getting 10ml from two pumps from the same breast low?

I was told by a lactation specialist when using the manual pump do 5 mins 1 breast then 5 minutes next breast then back to the first breast and so on.

My advice would be to keep letting him try to latch, you can also try using a nipple shield if you have sore nipples. The more your baby nurses, the more milk your body will produce. If you feel your baby is not transferring milk properly then try triple feeding (nurse, pump, feed). Baby should feed every 2-3 hours around the clock, even if you offer a bottle, you should still pump to let your body know it needs that milk. Also it's very important to drink tons of water and increase your calories.
