How to get back in the habit of saving money

Before covid hit I got my first job in November of 2019 I worked 7 days a week and it was rare for me to have a day off I’d usually always get called in and I absolutely loved working so I’d go in and my checks were pretty huge. I only worked there for about 5 - 61/2 months and I had $5,000-6,000 saved in my savings account. I paid myself $200 every check (I got paid every two weeks so I’d make this last) I pulled out what I needed for rent/bills and than the rest would go into savings. Than covid hit and I got let go from my job and I wasn’t eligible for unemployment because I wasn’t working for a full year & so I emptied my savings so I could pay my bills. I didn’t get a new job until July 22nd 2020, ive been there ever since and I cannot seem to save for the life of me. I don’t pay myself $200 every paycheck, I still pull money out for rent and bills and than literally it all goes into savings. I’ll pay myself like $50 and than I overdraft my checking account so I’m having to go into my savings to pay those off literally every month just to pay it. I’m struggling & it’s SO embarrassing. I get shit about it from my family because I get letters in the mail ALL THE TIME from my bank & I would really like to nip this bad habit in the butt before I actually screw myself over. So if anyone has tips from me please share I’m begging you.
