Emergency Delivery?

So my dr cancelled my 36 week check up cause they don’t accept the new insurance I have. 
My question is... they said the only way I’ll be able to deliver at any hospital is if I was an emergency delivery. I’m a first time mom here and have no idea what’s even considered an emergency delivery... 
I haven’t lost my mucus plug, I do get Braxton Hicks every day but not consistently. 
Last night I had a dream that I went to the hospital and they delivered my baby immediately and I didn’t even know I had been laboring... probably the stress of everything that’s just happened dr wise lol

So you have new insurance? I'm assuming the new one is t accepted by your ob office you go to. But anyways a hospital is going to delivery your baby either way with or without insurance. The only thing is if the hospital doesn't accept your insurance your not going to get the discount and would have to pay full price. You usually can check online at the hospital your going to delivery at and they'll usually say what insurance they accept.

Wow it’s crazy that they just drop that on you because of a change in insurance. 
I would find a new OB ASAP, because you still need that care until baby arrives anyway.

It pretty much just means you go into labor not a a planned induction or csection ... I’d call the hospitals in your area and see if any have midwifes on staff that can deliver. There’s a hospital near me where a lot of moms go to if they don’t have insurance or don’t have a primary OB because the midwifes on staff are trained to deliver so the bill is normally lower
