Can I give my baby water?

My baby will be 6 months on the 8th. Is it ok for her to have water yet?

I started giving my baby water when he was getting solids.

I wouldn’t do anything until you ask your pediatrician.

Call his pediatrician to be sure or Google it if you don’t have a good nurses line to talk to. I can’t remember what but at that age there’s a limit on water still and formula or breastmilk should be the main source of both nutrition and water still. So just a sip here and there with solids but your baby isn’t old enough to really need it yet. And too much can be bad for their gut.
