Painful sex during ttw?

With my first pregnancy (sadly ended in mc at 5 weeks) I noticed that sex was quite uncomfortable during the weeks after ovulation. Perhaps tmi, but when it went deep I had a painful feeling in my cervix and uterus. I'm having that again now (ovulated last weekend) and so am hoping that's a good sign, but wondered if anyone else had experienced this? Or, is this quite normal during the two weeks after ovulation even if you're not pregnant?
