Weight loss & husband. Is this weird?

My husband says he'll give me $1,000 if I lose weight and look like I did in high school. Mind you I'm 260lbs I have pcos & hypothyroidism & I barely have time for myself because of our kids. I've been trying for years but I get busy or unmotivated but this offer has me...depressed. He constantly says he loves me for me and knows I won't lose weight(don't blame him since been years) but if he loves me why does he constantly point out my weight and even squeeze my rolls that I feel uncomfortable about. Is he just dense and think he's being nice offering a prize?🤨

Is he a great guy otherwise? Honestly sounds like it could be him trying to motivate you because it’s something you want and he’s just totally missing the mark on it.

That's not ok to offer money for weight loss. There are other forms of motivation and I would not be happy with him. And obviously you aren't ever going to look like you did in high school because you were a teenager then and now you're a grown ass women so obviously you'll weigh more

I feel that regardless of how he says it you have to ask yourself what do you want for yourself? 
Even if you don’t loose all the weight but get yourself until a healthy weight it would make you proud .
Sometimes our overweight can make us more prone to make us feel tired, depress and even sick .
Weather he means good or not if you loose weight you will feel proud of yourself of accomplishing a goal . 
Try with baby steps of sticking to either no juices/soda for three months . Once you learn how to fight that temptation then you grasp another goal .
One goal at a time . Love yourself at your best and your best does not have to be at a high school weight but at a healthy weight .

I can understand not wanting an overweight spouse. Maybe that seems mean or wrong to others, but I want my husband to prioritize his health. Try not to let his offer give you more of an excuse to let yourself go. Love yourself, work on your health for your family and self

He loves you for who you are. Don't doubt this because of him wanting you to lose weight. The one thing doesn't negate the other. There is something though that you need to realise about how men are thinking. They are visual creatures. They want to see their lady looking good according to their tastes. They enjoy that and make them crave for you. So he's just trying to motivate you. Indeed, the offer of money is not very smooth but maybe he doesn't know what to try to help. If you feel that you want to lose weight, then ask him to help more with the kids so you can have time to exercise and plan your meals.

You’ll never stick to it if your reasons aren’t deep enough. 
If you want to lose weight, you’ll have to find the reason why you want to do it for YOU. Not anyone else. 
Don’t do it just look a different way, that’s a byproduct of your bigger goals, dig deeper.
And tell your husband to stop being a dick, that’s not how you motivate people.

I understand. I follow Tallene with PCOS weightloss on Instagram and incorporated her trained advice, went plant based and stretching/ light strength training in my floor while I watch baby and finally see some results. This PCOS and thyroid is no joke! It's a struggle for sure. Hugs and love to you ❤ he definitely needs to stop squeezing your rolls though seriously that would be annoying. Some people set rewards for weight loss milestones, just maybe explain to him that they need to be more reasonable and start small. Reality the high school age and figure changes but we can set small goals and then I set one "grand prize" goal that my small ones are leading up to. Tell him you're going to tweak the goals to more reachable and realistic so you can celebrate and increasingly build that confidence strength. It's what we did for mine because PCOS sucks motivation from me a lot, well used to, I'm learning to heal and reverse a lot of the symptoms now. Prayers, love and hugs ❤

I would just start working out every single day for YOU. If you dont, you won’t live long to enjoy your kids and the quality of your life will suck. You’ll be more tired, more irritable, have a lower libido, less energy, more disease-prone, higher likelihood of depression— basically (as I said above) your quality of life in literally every single aspect will suck. 
Do something you enjoy— go for a walk outside and listen to your favorite podcast. Garden, lift weights, just move however you like to. Do it daily and soon you will actually enjoy and look forward to it. Make it a priority right this minute and pencil in time daily for yourself to take care of yourself.

Lose weight if YOU want to lose weight. Do it for yourself. I’m not happy about my body and my husband knows it. He motivates me to go on walks or get membership IF I WANT but NEVER has he came to me saying “I’ll give you $1000 to lose weight”. That’s insensitive and rude and there are plenty of other ways to go about it.
