My daughter came to me a while ago because she was at the health department for birth control and she got an STD test. She later found out she was HIV positive. She confused it with AIDS but I explained the difference. I comforted her and told her we will get through it and that she does need to contact anyone she's been with before she got tested. I went back to the health department with her for emotional support. They gave her all the answers to her questions and they were amazing. I also set her up an appointment with my obgyn and she can get her birth control from there. Everything was fine for a while and two days ago she had me pick her up from school early and she was crying. She doesn't know who told, but somebody told that she was HIV positive and everybody at her High School is talking about her. I didn't send her to school yesterday or today. She wants to switch schools, but my husband says switching schools this late in the year could mess up her Junior year and her classes and that she should wait until next year to switch. Opinions would be nice and advice appropriated💙
