getting irregular weird periods

my last af turned up 2 days late and was shorter then normal yesterday evening into this morning I got light pink spotting which turn slightly heavier not heavy enough to consider a full period it only covered the tip of the tampon but now it's gone back to light pink spotting again has anyone else had this as I have never heard of it doing this before as they were always consistent the last few months but last month and this month they've gone haywire this morning I had really bad belly ache like af stomach ache it hot so bad I had a hot water bottle which didn't help although I don't think the water was hot enough so I took painkillers and had a warm bath which did ease the pain but it's still light spotting at the moment I don't know what's happening to my cycles lately any help would be Greatly appreciated
