Night feeds

I'm exhausted. He wakes up every 2-3 hours for a feed at night and it just doesn't make sense.. during the day he goes 4-5 hours without a feed (will point blank refuse to drink if I offered it). Why does he do this at night? His sleep is so disturbed, in between the night feeds he fusses a lot for his dummy, every 45 minutes or so. I don't know how I'm going to transition him into his nursery if he wakes up so often. Is anyone else experiencing/has experienced the same?
