Labor Story

B

So Demi Marie is coming up on 6 weeks and I’ve been doing so much with enjoying my new bundle of joy adjusting to a home with 4 kids etc. Dec 28th went in for my scheduled c section. My pregnancy has been full of ups and downs. I had a large hematoma which I bled heavily 4 full months of pregnancy, ended up having placenta previa and my other half putting me thru the motions. Did my covid test which was just horrible got prepped and off to the OR for my spinal tap and delivery. After about 15 minute after my spinal tap Demi came in weighting 7lbs 5oz 20.5 inches long. Went to recovery for about an hour then to my regular room. 2 hours in I felt something hot between my legs by this time the spinal tap was wearing off asked my husband to see and he said I think you need to buzz the nurse. Buzz the nurse on the call they acting like it’s normal until she came in and saw I passed a clot. She said omg you passed a clot on me. Her and another nurse cleaned me up they told me to buzz if it happens again. About 2 mins later the same feeling but it didn’t stop, called the nurse and she called another then another then another then another. They called my ob she told them to administer me some shots and to have an or on standby for a DNC. Well my blood pressure started to bottom out they called my ob she stated have her sign the paperwork get ready to go to the OR. She gets there they pressing on my stomach and it hurt so damn bad. The morphine didn’t do anything! They brought a scale in next thing I know my ob walked in fussing about what happened etc. I remember hearing my ob said my god we can wait she let the bed back pressed down on my stomach and went in me with her hand pulling out clots. After all the commotion I passed over 4lbs of clots and had to get 4 transfusions. We stayed 4 days on the last night a nurse that had been there 31 years stated she don’t know about my faith but God has a purpose for me because they’ve never seen a person hemorrhage so severe and didn’t require a dnc or hysterectomy and didn’t flatline or nothing. She told me I was blessed and to never take nothing for granted. I’m a firm believer in my Lord Jesus Christ and I’m grateful to make it thru something that had the potential to turn out different.
