I woke up to my boyfriend masturbating in our bathroom and I find it fucked because our sex life hasn’t been the greatest since having a baby. He says he’s not turned off by my post partum body (9 months) but he still doesn’t have sex with me as much.. think once/twice a month at this point. It bums me out and I’ve talked to him but it’s not getting better..

I think the other comments are seriously lacking in empathy. If your bf is not sleeping with you or being intimate as often, but continues to masturbate, it is completely fair for you to be concerned. Intimacy is an important part of a relationship. Everyone wants to feel wanted by there partner. Not that he can’t EVER masturbate and not that he ALWAYS has to have sex with you, but if he is consistently choosing masturbation over sex with someone he loves, you should absolutely communicate how that makes you feel. Talk to him about it and hopefully you will both understand each other more and come to some kind of agreement.

No, because people can want to get off and not want sex. People masturbate to get off, to relieve stress, to sleep, etc. I don’t give a single fuck when or how often my man touches his own body. Now if he did it so often we stopped having sex or he couldn’t get off during sex, that’d be different. I don’t expect to be asked for sex every time he wants to get off.

Honestly I do this and so does my husband and not because we aren't attracted to each other but because we are so darn tired that sometimes we just want to cum quick and go to bed. We do have sex and find other, less active ways to stay intimate like massaging one another while watching TV or just cuddling and sharing funny memes.  Parenting is exhausting.
However, if your needs are not being met and he keeps blowing you off that is definitely frustrating.  He is not required to have sex with you and you can be upset if he keeps masturbating instead of attempting intimacy with you.  If he can be better about communicating when he is in the mood maybe you can let him take a more passive role during sex and keep the sessions shorter while making sure you both are satisfied.  I often 'supplement' orgasms with toys before, during, or after sex so my husband doesn't always feel obligated into a long session when he is already tired since it usually takes me alot longer than him to a) reach orgasm and b) feel satisfied.
