Planning on trying for a baby this year. I’m a young military spouse and travel a lot. What are some good items for a 1st time mom?

Hello. I am 23 years old, going to be 24 by the time I start trying for a baby.

I need help and advice about what type of brands or items I should buy that are good for first time moms, and products for traveling.

I’m a military spouse. My husband and I have decided that we want to start trying for a baby by the end of this year after we PCS. He’s going to get sent out the country for 1 year, 2 years from now , and he wants to have a baby now more than ever to see our child grow up before he gets sent out. I can’t live with him during that 1 year so we will be forced to be separated, which we’re okay with. It’s not our 1st time being separated that long.

We already came to this decision last year, but are awaiting our moving orders which are currently in processing. We just picked a nice towns home today with an extra bedroom for a nursery. So we do plan on having a crib and all.

We are also in need of a 2nd car which we plan to buy this year after we move. It’ll most likely be a 4Runner so I’ll have a lot of space in my car to take or travel with items.

I have had a couple months of researching and started a list of products or brands I like. The problem is I’m a military spouse and don’t stay in one location to long. When my husband has orders to leave every couple months, I pack up a suitcase and fly back to my home town to stay with my parents. Meaning that during the 1 year my husband gets sent out the country, Im going to be moving in with my parents, but this time with a baby who will be about 1 years old or younger. I won’t have access to my nursery, crib, basinet, etc.

So I don’t want to purchase anything to expensive that I’ll have to leave behind and hardly use. I would only do so if the item /product is convertible. For example, a crib that converts to a toddler bed for long time use. Or a car seat that extends into a stroller for newborns, older babies, or until they are toddlers. Etc.

Other than that, I’m fine with cheap but durable products. And I’m okay with repurchasing items I will need if I can’t take it with me during my travels. I heavily rely on Amazon for all my purchases because where I live and where I’m moving to Target, Walmart, Sams, and Costco don’t exist 😫. Lol. I would have to do online purchases. Or buy items off of Facebook market like used cribs and such for cheap.

So Any tips ? Products? Lists? Ideas of where i should try looking for more products? Websites to compare baby item prices? Items for moms themselves?

Regardless, just any products or brands you loved that you used, please list below (: Im learning as much as I can ahead of time, and I am excited !

Thank you!
