When did you start to relax around your boyfriend?

So recently I feel like I’m always over at my boyfriend’s. I love being in his space and always touching on him. However I’ve noticed that I don’t fully let him see the true me. I censor  myself and I hate it and I’m working on that but I just wanted to hear y’all stories.

For me... The first couple of months I tried so hard. I tried to be 'the perfect kinda girl and girlfriend' or whatever. Always paying so much attention to detail, from the way I spoke to the way I crossed my ankles while sitting. I tried to perfect everything and behave so flawlessly 😅
However he noticed that I was trying too hard and being too hard on myself. He really helped me relax around him. I realized that he's not perfect either - we're both human. Little by little I started to loosen up, and maybe after 4 months I was already almost totally comfortable around him.
To this day I still put a lot of effort into looking good and improving myself around him, but it's not out of pressure or expectations set by the world I grew up in - he just inspires me to be my best self 🥰

I was always pretty comfortable with him cause we were good friends for about 2 years beforehand. I felt comfortable in the sense that I feel committed and I know he feels the same way. I felt that after I asked him to marry me. I also felt that comfort when he helped me in the hospital after an accidental overdose. And again after living with him for two months 🤷‍♀️ he’s always done things to make me feel comfortable and relaxed

It took me 2-3 months and my boyfriend was understanding about it he said he doesn’t want me to be forced into a relationship I’m not uncomfortable with so we started dating and hanging out and kinda getting to each other and etc

After my period came a week early and blood got all over the place. This was about 2 months into our relationship.

Dude trust me, its very normal to not want to open up to someone fully because that can be a very serious topic. I am currently on a break with my boyfriend, because I couldn't trust him enough to open up but I had good reason, after coming out of a lot of relationships, (friends or couples) I was given a lot of trust issues and so it takes me a lot longer to fully open up to someone.    
But for me personally, it depends on the person, how much I trust them going into it, and how much trust can be built upon the relationship. It could easily take me 6 months to a year to fully open myself up.

I love this feedback. My man has accepted me from the beginning also but I’m so scared. I have a good thing going. A great  real relationship. And I get so scared that at any moment it could be the end. 
We talked for a month and have dated for 4. I can see an amazing future with this man but I’ve been hurt twice that  I can’t seem to really open up.
