Low progesterone

Anybody ever have low progesterone after getting off birth control? Been off 7 months. Going to doctor some time this week. Just curious what it's like incase that's what's wrong and why I'm missing periods I've missed 2 in last 3 months. And all my other periods where all different ranges. We going to start trying for babies in September this year.

I know everyone is different and my sister-in-law is older than me but they told her the problem was her progesterone. I really hope this is normal and it just has to run its course and I'm I don't have any problems
