Would you date someone who’s addicted

To pain pills? Not sure the back story but I know he’s lost his mom 3 years ago & seems to be going through a lot. So I’m assuming that’s why he’s taking pills? He hold his life together really well as far as bills, holding a job, maintains a car and place to live, & taking care of his daughter. Do you guys think I should accept his offer on a date? Or not bother because of his pain pill addiction? I mean I don’t judge at all , I’ve just never been with someone addicted to pills so I’m not sure how people act on them.
