Ovulation test question

I feel like I know this answer because I’ve been doing it for so long, but I just want to ask to make sure. Do ovulation tests get darker the closer you get to ovulation? I had an early miscarriage two weeks ago so I’ve been checking for ovulation now that my HCG levels are at 0.

Today I got a much darker test than usual, but I know it is not positive. Does this mean ovulation is coming soon? I know you always have LH in your system but I just wanted to somewhat expect if it’ll be soon or not.
