Navy mom!
Hi ladies!!! I served 5 years in the Navy and decided to get out back in 2019 when my daughter was only 2 years old. I’m Glad I have gotten to spend these last 2 years focused on my baby girl and to get though some college classes... but I really miss being in the Navy. I miss my job as an LS and I miss all of the opportunities, experiences, benefits and comradery that came with my job. I was truly passionate about being in the Navy and I feel like I shouldn’t have to give up on my dreams just yet. So, I’ve turned in all of my paperwork to get back in and I’m just waiting on MEPS and my date to go back! Anyways, I know it can be hard as a mom to balance military work life and home life. If there are any military active duty moms out there that can give me advice I would appreciate it. My husband is also active duty Navy.
How do you moms balance it all? School, work, kids, standing watches in the middle of the night, daycare, detachments and deployments? How do your kids adjust to both parents being dual military?
Any advice on how to make it work and to keep the kids happy would be appreciated!
