So tonight at dinner, I was asking my MIL if she wanted me to hold my 3 month old so she could eat her dinner before it got cold. Keep in mind, the MINUTE we arrive she pulls his car seat cover off and takes him out (usually does this even if he’s asleep) and she’s had him for about 30 minutes up until this point.

Okay, so I said “you want me to take him so you can eat?” And she says - hah, get this - she says “You have to remember he’s half mine”.... Uhm... wtf did you just say to me? Half yours? What does that even mean??! Please explain.

I felt slightly uncomfortable. Am I being weird and super sensitive or is that a strange ass thing to say?
