condom or pill?

so i was on the pill for about two years and came off it as the type of pill i was on had a shortage in my country. anyway, while i was on the pill i lost 100% of my sex drive. like i mean me and my partner were having sex once every few months because i never wanted to do it and it caused a lot of arguments in our relationship. and now since i’ve been off it for a few months i’ve suddenly got my sex drive back and we are having sex at least 4 times a week just with a condom. so my question is should i get back on a different pill just for extra protection with the possibility of loosing my sex drive or do i just use condoms and have a sex drive?
