EBF and weight gain

Sabrina

Someone help calm my nerves until tomorrow lol

So my baby was born via c section due to me having polyhydramnios (too much fluid). Her birth weight was 6 pounds 10 ounces. The next day she went down to 5 pounds 13 ounces. We left the hospital at 5 pounds 15 ounces. Went to the dr 3 days later and she was 6 pounds 1 ounce. So all was good!

She has lots of poop diapers, lots of pee diapers , etc. I’d say about 6 poop diapers and 8-10 pee diapers a day. She nurses every 2-3 hours until milk is literally dripping out of her mouth.

Her next appointment isn’t until Thursday but I was curious on her weight gain so I did both the kitchen scale and my own personal scale. Both said 5 pounds 14 ounces!! She looks amazing to me and doesn’t look like she dropped at all. I was thinking she’d be up. When I ask friends they all said their kitchen scale was very accurate so now I’m so so worried. I don’t know how to calm myself until I can call the pediatrician tomorrow to see if they will weigh her 😭

Has anyone use a kitchen scale and it be super off?
