Have you or your kids ever been exposed to asbestos?

If so, how? Are you concerned about it having any future health effects? Frustrated there are still so many ways we can come into contact with it.

Asbestos is in lots of building materials etc. as long as it’s intact, and there aren’t loose particles it’s safe. I’m in Australia, lots of schools and hospitals here are full of it

We have asbestos in our home, as do my in laws. We're just careful about the floor tiles. One broke and my dad epoxied it back together to make sure nothing happened. It's not dangerous as long as it stays intact

Unfortunately yes. Before we had our daughter we lived in a condo which had asbestos tiles and we ripped it out and put new flooring. I honestly didn’t know much about asbestos at that time (where I am from we don’t deal with this and I was just doing what my husband said) and he didn’t care so we did it. Few years later my husband wanted to rip the old tiles in our new home and he did some of it until I stopped him because I thought they also might have asbestos in it. He was very mad but our daughter was in next room and I didn’t want any exposure, however we did get exposed because he did maybe quarter of a room. I was so mad at him because I currently have cancer and he just didn’t care. Not saying the asbestos caused it in the past but definitely not good to be exposed.
