Midwife?

Question

Is anyone using a midwife? I'm considering it, but I don't know anything about the process, is if insurance will cover it. I just know I don't have the typical hospital birth where they drug you out and lay you on your back.

Yes I am. But we have a midwife center where I live and insurance covers. I would find someone nearby and ask what insurance they take. Also sometimes hospitals have midwives that work with them. So decide if it's just wanting a midwife to work with or the out-of-hospital experience you are looking for and then do some googling. Best of luck!

I'm using midwife. My insurance covers it as out of network but the cost ends up being my deductible anyway.

I am. I used a midwife with my first and had a great experience. I recommend you watch the documentary "The business of being born" also, my insurance paid for my midwife.
