Overnights?

Question

Has anyone spent a night away yet? I’m surprising my hubby with an overnight at our family cabin Friday for our anniversary now I’m getting nervous. She will only be 30 minutes from us at his moms and she will be there about dinner time to lunch time the next day. His parents are so excited they thought is was last Friday and were bummed they were a week early now I’m having second thoughts and don’t want to him the out again if I chicken out.

Yes I’ve spent multiple nights away from my kids. I worry about them a little bit and I always have my phone on me, but I know they’re in good hands so I’m usually fine.

She’ll be ok!! It’s normal to worry - just keep your ringer on. It’s really special time for the grandparents too :) even if they’re up all night 😂 and remember, it’s only a night or two away and won’t have any long-term negative affects on anyone involved lol. Try to enjoy yourself!! 💕

Haha yes. When babe was 5 months old she spent the night with the grandparents bc we had the flu and was so sick we couldn’t cope. They took her in for 2 days and loved it.

Yeah once when she was tiny so incould get some sleep and once just before christmas. We didnt go any where but the lie in was amazing. I surprised my self who relaxed i was and E had a great time with her Aunty. Hopefully once everything opens up again we will take a little over night trip just as a couple, its the one thing I have missed.

My husband schedule a get away and my sister lives 20 minutes from where we were going. We dropped the kids off at 6:00pm and weren’t suppose to pick them up until later the next day. Well I FaceTimed them at least 5x that night and then made my husband go pick them up and bring them back to the hotel with us and we stayed another day at the pool with the kids. 🤦🏼‍♀️ so much for our anniversary. But they kids had a blast! 🤣

Yep my hubby and I have gone on two vacations and our little girl has stayed with her grandma. It was fun! I missed her like crazy but everything goes back to normal when you get home

Nope. The longest I’ve been away from her was about 10 hours because I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. I HATE leaving her, it kills me. But I’m also still nursing so that makes it tough too!

Thanks everyone! She did really well she exhausted nanny and pap pap but no problems only got up once for them. My hubby was excited for the surprise and now thinks we should let her do one sleepover a month for us to go to the cabin alone. Lol 😂 We were planning on getting her lunch time and she stayed until dinner.

My son goes to my in-laws every other weekend. Its very much needed time to myself and with my man. My MIL is a nurse so he is safe and he isn't very far. I love my son but I very much need my weekend.

We had to spend one night away while we had our second baby, and it was fine! I recommend having practice runs for bedtime and any other tricky parts of your day; we did and our kiddo was totally fine with it. Obviously we missed each other, but nobody was upset.
